Back Bay Bistro Going Al Fresco

Nested in the popular Upper Newport Bay with a panoramic view of the Back Bay Nature preserve, Back Bay Bistro is a contemporary 199-seat dining establishment featuring a number of innovative design elements including large gilded framed mirrors, comfortable wicker chairs, lounge seating in the bar and a sophisticated retractable awning giving the restaurant a “convertible roof.” With 60 al fresco seats providing guests with refreshing breezes off Newport’s Back Bay, the restaurant specializes in fresh, sustainable seafood.

Most recently, new General Manager, Garrett Gasperino, and Executive Chef, Brune Massuger work closely together to update the menu as well as oversee the introduction of a number of programs including Bruno’s Garden where herbs, spices and other ingredients will be grown right at the restaurant.

If you have been to the restaurant lately, you may have noticed the interior upgrades and the new courtyard which serves as a perfect venue for an intimate outdoor event with a beautiful view of the marina.

Back Bay Bistro serves dinner Wed-Sun (5 p.m. – Close), lunch Wed-Sun (opening at 11:00 a.m.) and brunch on Sat & Sun starting at 9 a.m., with breakfast served from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Keep an eye out for other culinary events such as monthly wine dinners and tastings.

Back Bay Bistro also offers professional catering and event planning services for festive beach parties and, in the resort’s giant tent, wedding/private/special events for up to 10,000 guests.
