Dine for a cause: Dave & Buster’s at The Outlets at Orange

October is one of my favorite months; the month my daughter was born, the fall colors, cooler weathers, and Halloween. But more importantly, it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month! According to breastcancer.org, 1 in 8 women in the United States, or 12%, will develop breast cancer over the course of a lifetime. The risk goes up higher as you get older. Many other factors also affect the risk, including genetics, diet, exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption. You can help lowering the risk by making healthiest lifestyle choices. Make sure to also perform monthly self breast exam and regular mammogram.

After a very successful partner ship with Susan G. Komen last year, The Outlets at Orange once again joins the organization for the 2016 “More Than Pink” campaign.

Guests looking to participate and dine at Dave & Buster’s from 6 PM – 8 PM on October 20 will be seated in a special area of the restaurant where 10% of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen. Lucky Strike Lanes will also donate 10% of diners’ proceeds on October 27, all day.

Visitors to The Outlets at Orange will notice the pink theme carried out at the Guest Services booths and staff will be honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donning pink accessories.

Donations can also be made through:

• Discount Card Program: $10 Discount Cards will be sold providing 25% off one item at participating retailers. All proceeds from the sale of Discount Cards go to Susan G. Komen.
• More Than Pink Hero Wall: An opportunity for survivors and their families to visually articulate their strength during their fight with breast cancer. Shoppers may purchase a sticker for a $1 donation and post the sticker on the More Than Pink Hero Wall. All proceeds go to Susan G. Komen.
• Hero Photo Opportunity: An ‘I Am More Than Pink’ backdrop will be used as a photo selfie station during the month of October. All will be encouraged to use the hashtag #morethanpink.

I got a chance to visit Dave & Buster’s last week for the Ultimate Combination of food and fun! You can choose from 17 entrees and get a $10 or $20 Power Card. Best deal in town if you ask me.
