When I first heard of Roti Mama, I was part curious and part excited.<\/p>\n<p>Roti Mama is a small family run restaurant. It may be a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant but people who run it have big hearts and the food is equally bold. Every dish is made with spices made by Mama herself. You will not find any store bought jar spice in the kitchen. Even the Sambal (chili) sauce is made in house. Allen\u00a0and I tried quite a few dishes; all of them flavorful and nicely prepared.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/jpg34.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"700\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7137\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/Collages64.jpg\" alt=\"Collages64\" width=\"548\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/Collages64.jpg 548w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/Collages64-235x300.jpg 235w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 548px) 100vw, 548px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roti Chanai<\/strong> is homemade hand-tossed and served with curry sauce. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/Collages62.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"700\" \/>Want some meat with it? Try the <strong>Roti Beef Murtaback<\/strong> which is stuffed with beef and onion.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/Collages63.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"575\" \/><strong>Masak Lemak Chili Padi\/Yellow Sauce<\/strong> (spicy turmeric sauce and coconut milk) with <strong>Tiger Prawn<\/strong>.\u00a0While most dishes taste like a cross between Indian and Thai cuisine, this dish is most similar to a Thai curry dish, probably because of the coconut milk which I love.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/Collages68.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"700\" \/><strong>Kerutuk Sauce<\/strong> is the &#8216;Meat and Potato&#8217; dish, simmered in fennel, star anise, cumming spices and potato. Order it with beef or chicken.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/Collages65.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"700\" \/><strong>Mee Goren<\/strong> is Mama&#8217;s specialty stir-fry yellow egg noodle. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/jpg31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"700\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"locu-menu-item-name\"><strong>Whole Fried Fish Sambal<\/strong> (Fried whole with homemade sambal) is perfection!\u00a0Want it extra spicy or less spicy? Just ask, they will cook every dish to accommodate your preference.<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/jpg32.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"700\" \/><strong>Char Kway Teo<\/strong> is my childhood favorite &#8211; Stir fry flat rice noodle, egg, bean sprouts, chives. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/15-6976-post\/jpg33.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"575\" \/>Don&#8217;t miss the Fried Bananas and specialty drinks like Mama Teh Tark Milk (hot or cold) and Ais Kachang (A concoction of red beans, corn, rose syrup, grass jelly, sweetened milk). I had it as shaved ice because I love shaved ice!<\/p>\n<p>Service is very warm and friendly. This is a neighborhood small eatery that deserves your support.
