I didn’t use to like desserts.\u00a0 Especially American desserts which tend to be sweeter than Chinese or Asian ones in general.\u00a0 It is especially true when it comes to cakes because of the different frosting used.\u00a0 Then there is the whole aging processing\u00a0 that changes our taste buds theory.\u00a0 It does seem the older I get, the more of a sweet tooth I have.\u00a0 Probably GOD’s idea of testing my will power which, by the way, is heading south with age, just like everything else.\u00a0 Two months ago when I saw a deal for Nothing Bundt Cakes<\/a> on KGBDeals , GOD won.\u00a0 Those tiny-weenie bundt cakes looked so cute\u00a0 (Ah power of photos!) that I just had to buy the voucher to try them.<\/p>\n

It was also a coincidence that I got a Bundtlet as a gift from a casino while in Las Vegas.\u00a0 It was so yummy that I was so looking forward to redeem my voucher when we got back.\u00a0 I checked the expiration date of October 5, 2011, so I decided to stop at the store last Sunday to pick them up.<\/p>\n

It was pretty easy to find the bakery.\u00a0 Looking at the store front, I kind of thought it would be nice if the lettering had more color (perhaps blue since it’s the signature color?) to stand out.<\/p>\n

\"\"However, I immediately fell in love with the store once I stepped inside.\u00a0 I love all the pastel colors used.\u00a0 The display case had so many cute bundt cakes that you just wish you could buy every single flavor to take home.\u00a0 The staff working at the counter was very friendly.\u00a0 He offered us to try their lemon cake in their test-tasting tray.\u00a0 It was really good.\u00a0\u00a0 The cake was moist and the lemon flavor was just right, not to strong but enough to give it the zest.\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"Although the name says ‘Nothing Bundt Cakes’, it actually sells a lot of other items – plates, aprons, cake stand, party-ware, etc, all with their logo on them.<\/p>\n

\"\"I thought this little baby onesies was really cute.\u00a0 I also like how they package all their merchandise, with ribbons and all.<\/p>\n

\"\"Since Halloween is fast approaching, the store has many decorations and Halloween bundt cakes for the occasion.<\/p>\n

Bundt cakes are not ‘fancy’ cakes, but I like how they dress up the cake with really cute toppers.\u00a0 I also thought the cups used for the little Bundtinis were very clever.\u00a0 They are firm cups that hold their shapes.\u00a0 During transport, you don’t have to worry about them colliding with each other and get all smooshed.<\/p>\n

My voucher was good for a one-dozen Bundtini’s.\u00a0 These are bite-size bundt cakes in 4 different signature flavors; Lemon, Chocolate, Red Velvet, and White Chocolate Raspberry.\u00a0 My favorites were the Chocolate and Lemon.\u00a0 Red Velvet and White Chocolate Raspberry were a little dry to me.<\/p>\n

\"\"These were denser than the Bundtlet.\u00a0 I am not sure if that is how they should taste or maybe they have been made for awhile before I picked these up around 3:30pm on Sunday just before it closed at 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

\"\"I think if I go back, I would get the Bundtlet and not the Bundtini’s.\u00a0The icing on these Bundtini’s are almost too much for a tiny little bite-size cakes.\u00a0 But if you really like sweets, you probably like it just fine.\u00a0 I prefer the Bundtlet which is a lot more moist and softer.\u00a0 If you like cakes like I do, stop by Nothing Bundt Cakes and pick yourself some.\u00a0 I bet they will put a smile on your face.<\/p>\n
