If you live in Orange County, CA and you like Vietnamese Cuisine, chances are you’ve dined at Brodard Restaurant, home of the famous Nem Nuong (Spring Roll).\u00a0 This popular eatery is busy all the time.\u00a0 Come during peak hours, you can expect a long wait.\u00a0 Even on a Sunday afternoon around 4:00pm, the restaurant was 80% full!<\/p>\n

\"\"The giant 8-Stallion painting on the wall is very impressive, as the huge decorative tree branches on the other end.<\/p>\n

\"\"You can see every single table ordering this flagship appetizer – Nem Nuong Cuon (Pork Spring Roll).\u00a0 I love the way they are made without noodle inside.\u00a0 I can eat 4 of these as a meal.\u00a0 Since I ordered an entree, I only ate 1\/2 a roll and took home the left over for next day.<\/p>\n

\"\"I had #11 (in Bun\/Vermicilli section) – Bun Cha Gio, Tom, Thit Nuong with crispy egg rolls, grilled shrimp, BBQ pork over vermicelli served with Asian greens, crushed peanuts, roasted shallot, and lime chili sauce.\u00a0 I didn’t think I would be able to finish it but I did!\u00a0 It was delicious that I kept eating bite after bite.\u00a0 The shrimp, the BBQ pork, and the egg rolls were all perfectly seasoned and cooked.\u00a0 The lime chili sauce had a kick to it but was not overpowering.\u00a0 This dish was light and yet hearty.<\/p>\n

\"\"Allen ordered his favorite – Shaken Beef (AKA Bo Luc Lac).\u00a0 Here it’s made a little saucier than others.\u00a0 I like that the meat is ‘pure’ and not tenderized with baking soda.\u00a0 The fried rice was made with ketchup.\u00a0 You can also get it with just steam rice.\u00a0 The dish was colorful as well as flavorful.\u00a0 It came with a side salad also.<\/p>\n

\"\"I also tried their Sour Apple Slush.\u00a0 It was perfect with my meal, not to tart and not too sweet.\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

The menu is quite extensive.\u00a0 When I first visited the restaurant, I was so overwhelmed by it.\u00a0 You can come here everyday to eat for a couple of months and not eat the same thing twice.\u00a0 The best thing about Asian dining is that it’s very inexpensive.\u00a0 Average price for each dish only costs around $8.00.\u00a0 What are you going to have for dinner tonight?<\/p>\n
