I have attended many media events in the past but most were held at restaurants. \u00a0When I got the invite from Mark’s Catering, I wasn’t sure what to expect. \u00a0As Allen and I arrived, I was immediately impressed by the set up and the warmth we received from the staff and owner, Maureen. \u00a0Are you wondering why the business is called Mark’s and not Maureen’s? \u00a0I was. \u00a0As it turned out, Maureen took over Mark’s Catering 4 years ago. \u00a0Through her dedication and hard work of her entire team, her catering service is thriving and has earned high praises from her clients.<\/p>\n

Mark’s Catering provides a complete catering service, including\u00a0\u00a0full wine, liquor, and beverage at all events. \u00a0It also offers\u00a0a full range of rental items, event planning services, and holiday decorating. \u00a0Whether it’s an intimate dining for 2 (YES, you heard it right! ) or a special event \u00a0for 800, Mark’s Catering can accommodate it all. \u00a0You can select the recommended menus available or have it customized based on your budget. \u00a0They are extremely flexible. No event is too big or too small. \u00a0I was frankly shocked that they don’t require a ‘minimum’ for their service! \u00a0“Yes, we provide Personal Chef service as well.” Maureen said. \u00a0 How awesome is that?<\/p>\n

The event started at 6:00PM. \u00a0We arrived promptly and everything was all set up and ready for us. \u00a0The refreshment and dessert table was lovely. \u00a0There was also a bar where wine and beer were served. \u00a0I was particular impressed with the iced block sign. \u00a0The little details really showcased how much thoughts went into the planning of the event.<\/p>\n

After greeting and meeting with Maureen and her staff, the tray-passed Hors D’euvres started flowing around and never ended even by the time we stopped eating. \u00a0From the first bite to the last bite, I loved EVERYTHING! \u00a0I could definitely tell the ingredients used were fresh and high quality. \u00a0

Shrimp Cocktail Appetizer in a Shot Glass (pictured above top) and\u00a0Seared Ahi Tuna & Grilled Pineapple In an Asian Spoon Garnished with fresh cilantro and served with sweet chili sauce\u00a0 (pictured above bottom) were delightful.<\/p>\n

\"\"Stuffed Ricotta Tomato,\u00a0Spanish Blue Cheese Stuffed Date Wrapped with Prosciutto, and\u00a0Phyllo Dough with Brie Cheese, Lemon Curd and Cranberry. \u00a0I can’t tell you how many ‘Dates’ I had because I lost count!
\n\"\"Boneless Beef Short Ribs in a Potato Cup and Pizza Square. The short ribs were so tender and flavorful! \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Coconut Shrimps and Cheese Wontons. \u00a0I wanted the the whole tray to myself. \u00a0\"\"Margherita PizzaSquare,\u00a0Curry Chicken Skewer, and\u00a0Lobster Puffs. \u00a0These were beyond delicious! \u00a0\"\"Fruit & Cheese Display and Charcuterie. \u00a0\"\"The main course was\u00a0Prime Rib and who doesn’t like Prime Rib? \u00a0It was beautifully seasoned and served with a side of Quinoa Salad. \u00a0\"\"We also got to sample 3 soups:\u00a0Tomato Bisque, Spicy Pumpkin, Chicken Risotto. \u00a0All of them were excellent. \u00a0I particularly liked the Chicken Risotto and Tomato Bisque. \u00a0\"\"The weather was perfect that night for an outdoor seating under the tent. \u00a0I loved the beautiful bouquet at each table. An assortment of desserts are also served. \u00a0They included\u00a0Lemon Bar Parfait,\u00a0Mini Tiramisu,\u00a0Triple Fudge Brownie, and\u00a0Petits Fours.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"\"\"It was such a pleasure to meet Maureen , her staff, and the talented chefs! \u00a0Among the guests that night were bloggers and some of the clients who have booked Mark’s Catering for their weddings and events. \u00a0Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and amazing service. \u00a0I was so impressed with their professionalism and outstanding food, I have already recommended them to several of my business associates. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n
