This year for 10 days, from January 17th through 26th, over 60 restaurants will feature their special 3-course prix-fix menus for lunch ($10, $15, or $20) and\/or dinner ($20, $30, or $40) that will sure delight the foodies in you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">(Photo taken from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newportbeachdining.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.newportbeachdining.com\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/WebPage.jpg\" width=\"962\" height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The evening started with speakers from\u00a0The Newport Beach Restaurant Association, McFarlane Promotions, Inc. and appearance from Mayor, Rush Hill (pictured below, top left).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">(Photos by <a href=\"http:\/\/allentaylorphotography.com\" target=\"_blank\">Allen Taylor Photography<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/jpg38.jpg\" width=\"665\" height=\"850\" \/>Many in attendance were restaurant owners, media press, and bloggers like myself. \u00a0It was a lot of fun to see so many familiar faces and meet new friends. \u00a0We enjoyed great drinks and these awesome flavored Svedka Voka shots. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Collages160.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" \/>There were also food sponsors serving delicious eats. \u00a0Tasty Chips and Guacamole provided by Rockin&#8217; Baja Coastal Cantina. \u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Collages163.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"699\" \/>Delicious Artisan Breads by Sadie Rose Baking Co. \u00a0I got to take a couple loafs of Ciabatta bread home and made garlic bread with them. \u00a0They were so good! \u00a0\u00a0I usually am not a fan of Ciabatta bread because they tend to be too dense and chewy. \u00a0But these were lighter with just the right amount of chewiness.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Collages161.jpg\" width=\"665\" height=\"850\" \/>Love the Quinoa Salad from Mayur Cuisine of India Restaurant.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Collages162.jpg\" width=\"665\" height=\"850\" \/><\/p>\n<p>IRISH STEW (Beef Stew made with Guinness Stout) by\u00a0Muldoon&#8217;s Irish Pub\u00a0was a big hit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/jpg40.jpg\" width=\"665\" height=\"850\" \/>The Pappardelle Bolognese (homemade ribbon-shaped Pasta with traditional Golognese sauce) from Cusina Alessa Newport Beach was delicious! \u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/jpg41.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" \/>And desserts from Newport Bay Bakers put a smile on everyone&#8217;s face. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/jpg39.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"699\" \/>There are so many great restaurants participating. \u00a0Allen and I are looking forward to trying some old favorites as well as some new hot spots. \u00a0We hope to see you there, too! \u00a0For more details, please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newportbeachdining.com\/newport-beach-restaurant-week\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Newport Restaurant Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My first media event of the new year couldn&#8217;t have started better at Eighth Annual Newport Beach Restaurant Week Launch Party at the Back Bay Bistro, \u00a0hosted by The Newport Beach Restaurant Association and McFarlane Promotions, Inc.
