Patchwork Show was co-founded by 2 very talented women, Delilah Snell and Nicole Stevenson, who have a strong passion for handmade craft and artisan food.\u00a0 Together they produce events in two states and five cities aiming to connect artists directly to consumers, educate the public on the art of making and creating and to foster a stronger, more sustainable local economy.<\/p>\n

Patchwork show: Edible Edition at SOCO Collection Costa Mesa is an annual creative food summit bringing visionary chefs, authors, bloggers, handmade craft vendors and food artisans together with attendees for two days of eating, learning, tasting and shopping food events.\u00a0 This year the event will take place on October 5 11:00am – 8:00pm and October 6 11:00am – 5:00pm.\u00a0 Allen and I had the pleasure of attending a media preview hosted at the\u00a0Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, thanks\u00a0Kitchen Table Marketing & PR <\/a>for the invite!<\/p>\n

The evening kicked off by SOCO’s Marketing and Special Events Coordinator Anais Tangie who gave a great introduction about the event and Patchwork Show Co-Founders.\u00a0 The live band played wonderful music while everyone roamed around from vendor to vendor for tasty treats.<\/p>\n

\"\"Taco Maria which just opened at SOCO provided Signature Guacamole and Chips (not pictured) and Sweet Corn, simple but delicious.\u00a0 \"\"Health-Ade Kombucha, a bubbly probiotic drink that is a fermented tea drink that is naturally rich in friendly probiotics and high in antioxidants and nutrients.\u00a0 If you don’t know what probiotics are, they are the friendly bacteria, enzymes and yeasts that live in your body, helping everyday to digest what you eat, fight off illness, and balance your energy and metabolism.\"\"\"\"Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, which I featured not too long ago here<\/a>, won the crowd over with Grilled Deliciousness Peach and Mushroom Truffle Pizza. \"\"Onotria\u00a0served fresh burrata samples atop passion fruit and demonstrated making of fresh mozzarella.\u00a0 \"\"The YES Bar is made of 20 real food, paleo friendly and GMO free.\u00a0 It’s naturally free of gluten, dairy and soy.\u00a0 Great for people who have special dietary needs or preference.\u00a0 \"\"Front Porch Pops showcased little pretzel pops served with 2 different sauce; one savory (caramelized red onion sauce), one sweet (dark chocolate bourbon sauce).\u00a0 But the\u00a0Brie ice cream kept us coming back for more. \u00a0\"\"Preservation Society which uses seasonal, local, and organic ingredients in making delicious jam, marmalade and pickles.\u00a0 Chef and Master Food Preserver Ernest Miller also gave a live demo of pickling red cabbage sauerkraut. \u00a0\"\"I was extremely thrilled to see my favorite bakery, Bread Artisan Bakery, with a table of beautiful breads.\u00a0 I can’t not get enough of these!!\u00a0 I won’t tell you how much I ate.\u00a0 LOL!\u00a0 \"\"\u00a0Almond Milk LA brought 3 different flavors of Almond Milk for guests to sample.\u00a0 My favorite was chocolate.\u00a0 \"\"I’ve tried JOIA natural soda before and really liked them, especially pomegranate.\u00a0 These are really light and refreshing.\u00a0 It was a warm night and these couldn’t be more perfect.\u00a0 \"\"Did I say it was warm that night?\u00a0 Oh how I appreciated the\u00a0alcoholic snow cones from 24 Carrots Catering!\"\"Portola Coffee Lab served the coolest dessert drink – ice cream and espresso.\u00a0 The proper name might be called Affogato.\u00a0 It was so interesting to watch and so tasty to drink!<\/p>\n

I can’t wait for the full event to come around on October 5 and 6 when over 90 vendors will be showcasing their arts and talents.\u00a0 The event is FREE and open to public.\u00a0 So mark your calendar and bring the whole family for 2 full days of fun and yummy treats!\u00a0 For more info, check out the website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
