Happy Hour &#038; Margarita Media Tasting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was in May 2012 that Allen and I first visited Cha Cha&#8217;s when I won a $20 gift card from Diary of A Mad Hungry Woman.\u00a0 (You can read about it <a href=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/?p=1785\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>)\u00a0 Since then, it&#8217;s has become one of our favorite restaurants to visit.\u00a0 When Allen and I were invited to the Happy Hour &amp; Margarita Tasting, we were more than excited.\u00a0 Not only did we get to try new Happy Hour menu, we got to meet up with our favorite fellow foodies, too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Cha Cha&#8217;s was voted Best Happy Hour &amp; Mango-Habanero (Pueblo Viejo 100% blue agave, mango, fresh lime juice, habanero chili infusion), Fresh Watermekon (El Jimador 100% pure tequila, fresh watermelon, hibiscu juice, fresh lime &amp; agave nectar) and Platinum Mojito (Myers&#8217; Platinum rum, fresh lime, mint &amp; sugar cane served frozen).<\/p>\n<p>If you ask me what was my favorite, I couldn&#8217;t tell you because I liked them all!\u00a0 Each one was different but they were all very good.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3926\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-1.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-1.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-1-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/>Chips and Salsa soon followed as did the Fresh Guacamole (below).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3928\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-17.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-17.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-17-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were told the Guacamole (Haas avocado, Serrano chile, fresh lime juice) was made with 21 ingredients.\u00a0 It was delicious but I couldn&#8217;t get the recipe.\u00a0 I tried.\u00a0 Sorry!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3941\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Collages167.jpg\" width=\"665\" height=\"850\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Collages167.jpg 665w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Collages167-234x300.jpg 234w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 665px) 100vw, 665px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Shrimp Ceviche (Marinated in fresh orange and lime juice, Serrano chile, red onion, and Haas avocado) was a little different from the ones I&#8217;ve had before at other restaurant.\u00a0 I like that they used whole shrimp instead of chopping them into small pieces.\u00a0 The orange juice added a little different citrusy flavor instead of a stronger tart taste from the lime juice.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3930\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-36.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-36.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-36-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Chicken Flautas (Fresh chicken, roasted corn, guajillo chile, Oaxacan cheese in crispy flour tortillas; served wit mango-habanero salsa) are my favorite appetizers.\u00a0 They are crispy but still soft inside, packed with fillings.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3944\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Collages170.jpg\" width=\"665\" height=\"850\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Collages170.jpg 665w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Collages170-234x300.jpg 234w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 665px) 100vw, 665px\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"vwprxy___WRchTxt5s-aja\">\n<p>Nachos Cha Cha&#8217;s (Tortillas topped with epazote black beans, Mexican cheeses served with pico de gallo, jalapeno-escabeche, and sour cream. Add Yucatan spiced grilled chicken or marinated grilled skirt steak) were covered in thick melted cheese and cut into individual bite size.\u00a0 So good!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3951\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg39.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg39.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg39-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"vwprxy___WRchTxt61-f87\">\n<p>&#8220;Wood-Fired&#8221; Queso Fundido (Traditional &#8220;cazuela&#8221; baked cheeses over roasted poblano peppers and potatoes. Add chorizo or portobello mushrooms) was insanely good.\u00a0 Eat it with chips or tortilla, it was amazingly flavorful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3933\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-63.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-63.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-63-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"vwprxy___WRchTxt5y-122d\">\n<p>Crisp Calamari (Lightly coated with Mexican spices and golden cornmeal, lime-cilantro aioli).\u00a0 Allen and I ordered this every time we came because we loved it so much.\u00a0 The batter is crispy but light and the calamari very tender.\u00a0 Probably one of the best calamari we&#8217;ve had.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3949\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg37.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg37.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg37-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>More delicious Happy Hour Drinks (from left to right) Cha Cha&#8217;s Margarita (Siete Leguas 100% blue agave, Elderflower liqueur, fresh lime, ruby red grapefruit juice), Sangria Tradicional (Cha Cha&#8217;s award winning Sangria, red wine, orange liqueur infused with fresh tropical, citrus fruits), Classic Margarita (El Jimador 100% Blue Agave, Cointreau, fresh lime, agave nectar, hand shaken).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3936\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-75.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-75.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-75-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fresh Manila Clams (Sauteed with Garlic, Spanish Chorizo, fresh herbs, and white wine with a touche of butter).\u00a0 This was the first time I had it and I absolutely loved it. The broth was rich and the clams really fresh.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3950\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg38.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg38.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/jpg38-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"vwprxy___WRchTxt5m-419\">\n<p>Cha Cha Fries (Yukon Gold potatoes, tossed with fresh garlic and herbs, smoked chipotle aioli).\u00a0 I think these were better than truffle fries!\u00a0 So soft and fluffy with great seasoning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3935\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-67.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-67.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/chchas-67-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"vwprxy___WRchTxt64-w8d\">\n<p>Quesadilla (Mexican cheeses, Poblano chile, white corn, jalapeno-escabeche, fire roasted tomato salsa and sour cream.
