Ever thought about trying more than one restaurant at a time?\u00a0 Join the folks at Dishcrawl and experience a gourmet food tour to four distinctive restaurants in one night. It\u2019s like a pub crawl\u2014but more delicious!\u00a0 Dishcrawl, a national start-up founded on the premise that communities can be brought together through good food and good company made its way to Downtown Fullerton recently. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Our first stop and meeting place was \u00a0JP23 BBQ and Smokehouse.\u00a0 It has a feel of a sports bar with lots of big screen TVs throughout.\u00a0 Patrons can enjoy great bar drinks with BBQs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We were served\u00a0Smoked\u00a0Artichoke\u00a0Dip, Smoked Chicken Wings\u00a0and\u00a0Smoked Rib Tips.\u00a0\u00a0The restaurants makes its own BBQ sauces.\u00a0 I really liked Chipotle which has a little heat but honestly they are all good.<\/p>\n

Our second stop was Bourbon Street where owner John and chef Martin, served us up some classic\u00a0Cajun\u00a0Gumbo,\u00a0Bacon Mac and Cheese\u00a0and Blackened Sole.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Cajun Gumbo was a big hit with Dishcrawlers.\u00a0 It was flavorful with a nice but not overpowering heat.\u00a0 The Blackened Sole was tender and mild.\u00a0 And the Bacon Mac & Cheese, well, I don’t know anything that doesn’t taste good with bacon.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

\"\" Our third stop took us to Matador Cantina where we got to sample Chorizo Ravioli, Chicken Mole\u00a0Enchiladas\u00a0and a savory piece of\u00a0Shortrib\u00a0atop a\u00a0Potato Pancake.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What better way to finish our last stop but at Layer Cake Bakery?\u00a0 We were treated with deliciously Speculoos\u00a0Macaroon, Affogato Shot\u00a0and a\u00a0New York Style Cheesecake\u00a0layer on top of Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache.\u00a0 Layer Cake Bakery also serves breakfast and lunch, organic tea and coffee.<\/p>\n
