It was only available for 2 nights, July 10, 2013 and July 17, 2013.\u00a0 I was so honored and fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience the ultimate French dining destination in Costa Mesa for one of the most celebrated sporting events.\u00a0 But do not fret, the restaurant offers impressive Sunday brunch, lunch and dinner menus that will sure delight you just as much.<\/p>\n<p (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Located inside Westin, South Coast Plaza, the restaurant is charming and elegant with a French chateau characteristic.\u00a0 Once we checked in with the hostess, we were seated promptly.\u00a0 Manager, Mr. Sebastian Schildhorn and Executive Chef, Chef Alfonso Ramirez also came by to introduce themselves.\u00a0 What followed was an evening of an exquisite Tour de France culinary experience!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3648\" alt=\"\" butter.\u00a0 They were so good!\u00a0 I especially loved the dark bread!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3649\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg22.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg22.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg22-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Schildhorn presented the first wine pairing &#8211; Chateau de St. Martin Rose 2012.\u00a0 You know I don&#8217;t drink, so I only took a sip.\u00a0 I was so surprised at how much I liked this rose wine.\u00a0 It had such delicate fruity flavors with a strong appeal to the senses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3645\" alt=\"\" (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>First course was Tomato Gazpacho, Dungeness Crab Beignet, Heirloom Tomato, Basil Pistou.\u00a0 Allen and I loved every bite of this dish.\u00a0 The crab was sweet and tender, the tomato gazpacho was so smooth and delightful.\u00a0 Pairing with the rose, it was a great start of the meal.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3646\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Collages104.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Collages104.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Collages104-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Second wine paring was Domain Cherrier et Fils Sancerre 2011.\u00a0 This was a refreshing, pure sauvignon blanc with touch of lemon rind and grassy zest.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3654\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/pinot-27.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/pinot-27.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/pinot-27-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Second course was Seared Scallops, Sweet Pea Puree, Parsley Gremolata, Basil Scented Jus.\u00a0 The scallops were seared and seasoned to perfection.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t eat scallops too often because it is very hard to cook.\u00a0 The zesty wine was a perfect company to the tender and sweet scallops.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3647\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Collages105.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"699\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Collages105.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Collages105-300x246.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Third wine paring was Grand Enclos du Ch\u00e2teau de C\u00e9rons 2009.\u00a0 This was a complex wine with Juicy red fruit flavors with a bit of tangy acidity.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3650\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg23.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg23.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg23-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3655\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/pinot-36.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With such strong wine, our third course was none other than Roasted Duck Breast, Crostini, Duck Liver Pate, Summer Squash, Duck Liver Jus.\u00a0 The duck was cooked perfectly medium.\u00a0 The Duck Liver Pate&#8217;s was smooth but added lots flavor to each bite.\u00a0 The\u00a0Grand Enclos du Ch\u00e2teau de C\u00e9rons 2009 further enhanced the flavor of the duck.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3651\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg25.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg25.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jpg25-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To finish the fourth course was the Chateau Grand-Jurga Sauternes 2007, a sweet dessert wine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3656\" alt=\"\" https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/pinot-49-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The fourth (and dessert) course was what I called a &#8216;Happy Ending&#8217; &#8211; Summer Peach Tartin, Brown Butter Crumble, Lavender Chantilly, Tonka Bean Gelato.\u00a0 I savored every bite of this and wish I could have gotten second despite the fact that I was so full that I was about to explode.<\/p>\n<p>Pinot Provence is part of Patina Restaurant Group.\u00a0 It was voted &#8220;Best French Restaurant in Orange County&#8221; by
