{"id":3159,"date":"2013-05-02T21:17:39","date_gmt":"2013-05-03T04:17:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/?p=3159"},"modified":"2017-05-23T11:46:00","modified_gmt":"2017-05-23T18:46:00","slug":"bottega-louie-downtown-los-angeles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/?p=3159","title":{"rendered":"Bottega Louie @ Downtown Los Angeles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Allen and I don&#8217;t venture out to Los Angles too often unless it is for business, i.e., photo shoot.\u00a0 Last weekend we attended an amazing conference (more details to come in a separate post).\u00a0 At the end of conference, we decided to check out Bottega Louie.\u00a0 Our good friends and fellow bloggers, Daniele of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.danisdecadentdeals.com\" target=\"_blank\">Dani&#8217;s Decadent Deals<\/a> and Tom of <a href=\"http:\/\/tomsfoodieblog.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tom&#8217;s Foodie Blog<\/a>, visited the night before and told us how amazing it was.<\/p>\n<p>After finding parking in a nearby parking garage, we walked toward the restaurant\/bakery.\u00a0 I could see the crowd through the glass window and thought there was no way we were going to get a table!\u00a0 It got even worse when we finally squeezed inside among the sea of people.\u00a0 It was a huge restaurant but was also PACKED!\u00a0 We managed to give our names to the host and was told the wait would be 45 minutes.\u00a0 Well, we already paid for the parking so we decided to just wait.\u00a0 Luckily, it was only 15 minutes before our names were called.\u00a0 Whew!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3162\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/blog-353.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"601\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/blog-353.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/blog-353-300x212.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/>The restaurant has an open kitchen.\u00a0 There were so many chefs.\u00a0 I should have counted to see how many.\u00a0 I really appreciated that they wore gloves in preparing the food.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3165\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Collages50.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Collages50.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Collages50-300x247.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re trying very hard to eat better these days but we had to order the famous Portebello Fries our server highly recommended.\u00a0 It is, after all, their signature appetizer.\u00a0 It came in a small basket.\u00a0 Well, it looked small but it actually contained a good amount of fries!\u00a0 They were thick cut but tender and fried with just the right amount of batter.\u00a0 It was crispy but not greasy.\u00a0 I wish they had sprinkled a little bit more cheese.\u00a0 Nevertheless, it was delicious!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3163\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Bottega-Louie.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"601\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Bottega-Louie.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Bottega-Louie-300x212.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Allen ordered ORECCHIETTE (House made orecchiette, Maestro fennel sausage, radicchio, soppressata, caramelized sweet onions &amp; extra virgin olive oil).\u00a0 The pasta is perfection.\u00a0 The dish is milder than expected.\u00a0 For a pasta dish with sausage, it was surprisingly light.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3161\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/blog-336.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"601\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/blog-336.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/blog-336-300x212.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the restaurant is a separate pizza kitchen.\u00a0 The 2 chefs were making and baking pizza at speedy pace.\u00a0 The table next to us, a family of four, had ordered one.\u00a0 They seemed to really enjoyed it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3164\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Collages49.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"601\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Collages49.jpg 850w, https:\/\/wendyfulworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Collages49-300x212.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/>I decided to try CEPPO GAMBER (Jumbo shrimp, ceppo pasta, broccolini, oven roasted cherry tomatoes, roasted garlic, fleur<br \/>\nde sel, cracked pepper &amp;
