We are very low key people.\u00a0 We seldom throw parties.\u00a0 The last time I had guests over was 10 years ago.\u00a0 I cooked for 2 days for 3o+ guests.\u00a0 After that, I swore I would never host another party for more than 6 guests.\u00a0 My daughter once asked me how come we never invited people over.\u00a0 I said because mommy is too lazy.\u00a0 It’s true.\u00a0 I am just too lazy.<\/p>\n

Today is Allen’s birthday.\u00a0 It’s one of those big ones with a zero, you know.\u00a0 I thought about taking the family out for his birthday like we always do, but decided to give him a little surprise.\u00a0 Well, not really a surprise since I told him I was inviting a few friends over.\u00a0 He said ‘Ohhhhhh!?’\u00a0 Yea, he was surprised that I would even think of it!<\/p>\n

\"\"Because the guests were really close friends, I knew they wouldn’t mind having some casual home-cooked meals.\u00a0 I made Kung Pao Spaghetti with Shrimp, Stir Fry Green Beans, Chicken Curry, and Teriyaki Chicken.\u00a0 I also planned on making Lemon Garlic Salmon but ran out of time and skipped it.\u00a0 Sorry!<\/p>\n

\"\"Although my food wasn’t that special, I did manage to order a spectacular custom cake from Tasty Temptation Treats by Tanya<\/a> for my spectacular husband.\u00a0 Knowing how much he loves cookies, I request Tanya to incorporate cookies in the design.\u00a0 She did not disappoint.\u00a0 She even invented a special cookie made with Nutella and candied nuts\u00a0(the dark color cookie) for Allen and me .\u00a0 Is that awesome or what?<\/p>\n

\"\"Of course I had to give my husband a kiss and wished him Happy Birthday.\u00a0 We had lots of cookies.\u00a0 KoKo even baked home made cookies for him, too!<\/p>\n
