Last November Allen and I photographed a family portrait session at Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach.\u00a0 I had been there before and either didn’t remember nor notice but we found a small petting zoo that was set up inside for children.\u00a0 While Allen was busy capturing the 2 girls having fun with rabbits and guinea pigs, I talked to one of the zoo keepers.\u00a0 She mentioned the zoo was located in San Juan Capistrano and even had Alpacas.\u00a0 My eyes lit up!\u00a0 I have always wanted to see Alpacas!\u00a0 We had such a fun conversation that she handed me 2 tickets to the Zoo.\u00a0 Score! I finally found time to visit today and I had so much fun!<\/p>\n

Can you believe I have never touched a (live) rabbit?\u00a0 I know what you’re thinking.\u00a0 ;P.\u00a0 At first I was a little scared.\u00a0 Allen had to grab one for me.\u00a0 Seeing that she wasn’t struggling to run away or anything, I took a deep breath and picked her up.\u00a0 OMG!\u00a0 She was so soft!!!\u00a0 I fell in love with her right away!!!\u00a0 Her face was so cute!\u00a0 Now I really want a pet rabbit.<\/p>\n

\"\"I came for the alpacas.\u00a0 There are 3 there and this white one is so special.\u00a0 Her eyes are multicolored with the colors run horizontally.\u00a0 I’ve never seen anything like this!\u00a0 It was just fascinating.<\/p>\n

\"\"The other ones are black and brown.\u00a0 I am not sure why but when the black one looked at me, it almost felt like a human friend looking at me.\u00a0 His face was just so expressive!<\/p>\n

\"\"There are horses of various sizes that kids can ride.\u00a0 There are even 2 zebra horses.\u00a0 I think I’ve only seen those on pictures or TV before.<\/p>\n

\"\"Sheeps and goats are so calm.\u00a0 They don’t even run away when you take pictures with them.<\/p>\n

\"\"Yeah, it’s a petting zoo, so be careful where you walk.\u00a0 More importantly, do not touch poo!\u00a0 LOL!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Emu and tortoise are in the house, too.\u00a0 I also touched the guinea pigs for the first time.\u00a0 Their fur is a lot more coarse than the rabbit fur.<\/p>\n

\"\"They are cute but they still remind me of rats.\u00a0 I think I still prefer rabbits!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I have taken my kids to the petting zoos at fairs before but I, myself, have never touched any of the animals.\u00a0 I love animals but I also have fears for them.\u00a0 I have to say, this was one trip I will never forget.\u00a0 Maybe I have finally conquered my phobia!\u00a0 All I can say is I had a blast!<\/p>\n
