Best Friends Forever

I left my country, Taiwan, a month shy of graduating from Junior High School (9th grade).  My High School years were very lonely.  In addition to going to school, I also had a part-time job.  Learning a new language and a new culture and holding down a job was not easy on a teenager.  Not having a support group (friends) made it even harder.  Most of my teachers were nice except a couple ( one of my PE teachers and the SAT Prep Class) who were very racist.  It was a very depressing 3 years to say the least.  It all changed when I entered UCLA where I met these beautiful ladies!  33 years later, we are still BFF’s!

It’s been quite a few years since we saw some of us, so we decided it was time to resume our regular ladies day out.  We used to meet up at restaurants but we’d talk for hours that at the end of the night we’d get kicked out!  This time, we decided to get together at Anne’s beautiful home.  We ordered some delicious Chinese food from Bamboo Cuisine in Sherman Oaks.

Peking Duck is always special and a must-have!

Spicy Garlic Eggplant, Beef with Broccoli, Jalapeno Chicken,  and Hot braised Shrimp.

The fruits, fruit cups, and Fruit Tart cake were yummy!  Despite our effort to be good, we couldn’t resist having desserts!

We were so loud and laughed so hard!  Allen was so patient taking pictures and sitting there pretending to understand Chinese.  LOL!

Gosh, I am so honored to be surrounded by these gorgeous ladies (literally)!  🙂

Everyone LOVED Xiong Xiong (Bear).  He is a Yorkie and so calm and friendly and such a cute model!  I wish I could take him home!

Thanks to Anne for opening her beautiful home to us!  I had a fantastic time catching up with you all!  I can’t wait for our next get-together in a couple of months!
